Professor Frieder W. Scheller,

Prof. Scheller received his diploma in chemistry from the Technical College of Merseburg and his PhD from the Humboldt University of Berlin. For many years he headed the Department of Bioelectrochemistry/Biosensors at the Central Institute of Molecular Biology of the German Academy of Sciences, Berlin-Buch. Since 1993 he has been Professor of Analytical Biochemistry at the University of Potsdam. In 2001 and 2002 he was President of the German Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Since January 2004 he has been Vice-President of the University of Potsdam and since 2007 Head of Department at the Potsdam Fraunhofer Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
In the focus of his scientific career is electrochemistry starting from his diploma up to his professorship.
