The Congress will take place at the Peninsula Convention Centre at the Iberostar Cancun – a spectacular beach-side venue only 15 minutes from Cancun’s international airport.
Take time during your stay to sample some pf the many attractions Cancun and the surrounding area have to offer:
Shopping
Cancun boasts a myriad of shopping malls, market stalls and retailers. Head to La Isla Shopping Village in the city’s Hotel Zone for affordable shopping at over 150 store or try the Kukulcan Plaza & Luxury Avenue for its premium world-famous brands. Alternatively, Market 28 boasts the biggest flea market in downtown Cancun, selling Mexican souvenirs, handcrafts, art and jewellery at very reasonable prices.
Night Life
Live venues in Cancun are in rich supply at places such as The Bulldog Café or Dady Rock, playing jazz, salsa and rock music. For nightlife that is family-friendly, join the Caribbean Carnival party cruise leaving for Isla Mujeres (Women Island).
Safety
Cancun is amongst the safest places to travel in Mexico and is known for its relatively lower crime rate. Other than the normal petty thievery frequent in all tourist destinations, major crime involving tourists in the tourist zones is almost non-existent (source Trip advisor). Of course delegates are advised, as with all travel, to be vigilant and take sensible precautions. (Delegates are reminded that they are responsible for their own travel insurance.)
