Congress Registration Fees

Delegate registration fee: US$685
Author registration fee*¹: US$550
Local registration fee²: US$250
Student registration fee³: US$250

¹Applies to one author of each paper selected for presentation only.
* Elsevier reserves the right to host selected oral presentation slides on the congress website. Please indicate on the registration form if you do not want your slides to be used for this purpose.
²Applies to Chinese citizens currently resident in mainland China.
³Student registration forms must be accompanied by a signed letter from your head of department attesting to student status.

The congress registration fee includes:

  • Access to congress sessions
  • Access to poster and exhibition areas
  • Abstract book available at the congress and congress documentation
  • A special issue of Biosensors & Bioelectronics mailed after the congress
  • Lunch and mid-session refreshments as scheduled in the congress programme
  • Evening reception on Wednesday May 14, 2008

Optional Congress Dinner

An optional Congress Dinner will take place on the Thursday May 15 on a cruise-boat on the Huangpu River. Transport will be available to transfer guests to and from the dinner venue.

Delegates will have the chance to enjoy Shanghai at night with a sit-down meal and musical entertainment.

Tickets are available at a cost of $60 per person and should be booked using the registration form.

Author registration deadline

Accepted presenters should register no later than February 15, 2008 to ensure that their material is included in the final programme and the book of abstracts. Non-registered presentations will be withdrawn from the congress after this date.

Payment

Registration fees are payable in advance of the congress. In order to expedite the registration process, please complete the registration form with your credit card details. Confirmation of your credit card payment along with registration confirmation documents will be sent to you by (air)mail. If you do not receive confirmation of your registration 7 days prior to the event, please contact the Congress Secretariat.

Alternative payment methods

Cheques should be made payable to Elsevier and should be sent with your completed registration form. In order to pay by bank transfer, you will first require an invoice. An invoice will be sent to you by airmail upon receipt of a signed registration form completed with your contact details and registration details. The reverse side of the invoice provides Elsevier bank account details for transfer purposes. Please do not transfer fees until you have received your invoice. It is essential that you include your invoice number when instructing your bank. Please forward a copy of the bank transfer documentation to the Congress Secretariat.

Cancellations

Substitutions may be made at any time but please advise the Congress Secretariat of a change of name. If you find it necessary to cancel the registration completely, please notify the Congress Secretariat immediately. Provided written notice is received by April 2, 2008, a full refund will be given less a 10% administration charge. Provided written notice is received by April 16, 2008, a 50% refund will be given. It is regretted for registrations cancelled after April 16, 2008, or for no-shows at the congress, the full fee (100% cancellation charges) will be payable.

In the unlikely event that Elsevier shall deem it necessary to cancel the congress, all pre-paid registration fees will be reimbursed. Elsevier shall not be liable for reimbursing the cost of travel or accommodation arrangements made by individual delegates.

Changes

Details are correct at time of going to print. Elsevier reserves the right to change any session in the final programme.
