Scope of the Congress

Biosensors 2008 is a three-day event consisting of daily plenary presentations followed by parallel sessions. In addition to invited lectures, selected oral contributions will be included in the plenary session.

Parallel sessions comprising a refereed selection of submitted papers describing original work will be structured as ten symposia:

  • DNA chips & nucleic acid sensors
  • Immunosensors
  • Enzyme-based biosensors
  • Organism- and whole cell-based biosensors
  • Natural & synthetic receptors for biosensors
  • Nanomaterials & nanoanalytical systems
  • New signal transduction technology
  • Systems integration, proteomics and single cell analysis
  • Bioelectronics & biofuel cells
  • Commercial developments, manufacturing and markets

A summer school will precede the Congress – more details on this will be available on this site shortly.

Language

The official language of the congress will be English.
